Who we are

Shacklefall is made by Shane Fernandes, trading as Fernstalon Studios, based in India. Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, go to hello@fernstalonstudios.com.

What the game collects

  • Your game progress, saved on your device.
  • Purchase records for optional in-app purchases. Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card details.
  • Advertising data. The game shows ads through Unity LevelPlay, which works with ad networks including Unity Ads and Google AdMob. These services may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location from your IP address, and information about the ads you see and tap, so they can show ads, count them and prevent fraud.

We will update this list before adding anything else, such as cloud saves or crash reports.

How we use it

To run the game, keep your progress, deliver the items you buy, show ads that pay for the game, fix bugs and improve balance. We do not sell your personal data.

Ads and young players

We want Shacklefall to be safe for younger players. Players under 18, and players whose age we don't know, are only shown non-personalised ads: ads chosen from what is on screen, not from a profile of them. We use ad networks that take part in Google Play's Families programme, and we do not knowingly track or profile children.

Adults can limit personalised ads at any time in their device settings: on Android under Settings › Google › Ads, and on iPhone under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent, by writing to hello@fernstalonstudios.com. We will reply within 30 days. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Uninstalling the game removes the progress saved on your device.

This website

fernstalonstudios.com uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which records visitors' IP addresses for security, and it loads a typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
